What’s Akhlut?

Don't let the name make assumptions for you.

Yeah, we know... nobody knows how to pronounce it the first time. But once you know us, you won't forget us.

A question we get asked a lot is why Akhlut?

In Inuit folklore, akh'lut is an orca-like composite animal that takes the form of a wolf when on land, and is sometimes depicted as a wolf-orca hybrid. It’s an ancient legend about a wolf who can transition to an orca and vice versa.

We want to make legends at Akhlut Automotive, we want to make your vehicle legendary and stand out amongst the rest. We want it to reflect you and we want you to be legendary! Hence, where legends are born! I mean, does anyone really want to be normal now-a-days?

Just as the Akhlut transitions flawlessly between a wolf and an orca, we focus on automotive transformation. Through aftermarket modifications, engine rebuilds, and tuning, we alter a vehicle’s baseline "DNA" to make ordinary daily drivers or work trucks stand out as "legendary" machines.

In motorsports and mechanical work, a vehicle often needs a dual identity. We apply this concept by ensuring high-performance vehicles remain practical—meaning a truck can possess the raw power of a track racer over the weekend but still deliver the reliable dependability required for work on Monday morning.

Believe it or not, Brian’s favorite animal is a Wolf and Stacey’s is an Orca!

It just fits and this is how Akhlut came to be!
